Q1 2026 Product Updates: Email Tracking, Smarter Tasks, and More
We've shipped a batch of updates this quarter based on what operators have told us they need. Here's what's new.
Never lose track of a customer email again
Invoice reminders, rent change notifications, move-in confirmations — every important email is now logged in your customer’s history. You’ll know exactly what was sent and when.
What’s new:
- Full audit trail: All key emails logged against the customer record
- Template-level BCC: Automatically copy emails to your own system for backup
- One-click resend: Need to resend move-in instructions or access details? Click once from the Unit Rental menu
This matters for compliance, dispute resolution, and those “I never received that email” conversations.

Tasks you can actually assign and track
Tasks are no longer a black hole. You can now assign them to specific team members, see what’s overdue at a glance, and get daily reminders for outstanding work.
What’s new:
- Assign tasks to users: Pick who’s responsible from a dropdown
- “My tasks” view: Each admin sees their own list at a glance
- Overdue highlighting: Red flags on tasks that have slipped
- Email notifications: Daily reminders for outstanding tasks, plus alerts when you’re assigned something new
No more tasks sitting open for weeks because nobody knew they owned it.

Create credit notes directly from invoices
No more manually recreating line items or losing track of which credit note belongs to which invoice.
Generate a refund or offset/write-off credit note from any invoice in one click. Line items and accounting codes copy over automatically as negatives, and the credit note stays permanently linked to the original invoice for clean audit trails.

Export to Excel in one click
Every exportable list now has an “Export as Excel (.xlsx)” option alongside CSV.
Numbers stay as numbers. Dates stay as dates. No more reformatting after export.
Available across all list views — units, customers, invoices, everything.

Other improvements
We’ve also shipped a handful of smaller fixes:
- New notes field in unit rentals: The same awesome functionality from user notes is now in unit rentals. Learn more
- iOS image uploads improved: HEIC images (the default on iPhones) now upload and resize correctly
- Current rental price shown: Unit lists now display the actual rental price, not the default
- Name changes restricted: Tenants can no longer change their first/last name in the customer portal — only admins can, keeping your agreements aligned
- Credit notes handled properly: No longer marked overdue or sent late fee reminders
- Google Translate prompt fixed: Customer portal now serves the correct language tag, stopping the unwanted auto-translate prompt
- Integration webhook alerts: Failed webhooks now show in entity history with a direct link to troubleshoot
- New Add-on event:
unit.updatedevent added for access control integrations
